How to let your customers track the status of their quote request

Whether added manually through the admin interface, or submitted directly by a customer, all quote requests can be tracked as long as they have been assigned to a customer.

For customers with a user account

If the quote has been assigned to a customer with a user account, then just like orders, quotes can be visualized in their account area after logging-in.

This is also where they will have to log in to accept/reject the quote, or download the PDF version of the their quotes.

For guest customers

Since guests don’t have an account area, they can use the quote tracking page to view the status of their request. This page is created automatically upon installation of the plugin, but any page can be used that contains the shortcode [dws_qrwc_quote_tracking].

Guests will then be able to view the status of their request as long as they can input the request number and the billing email correctly:

Non-guests can also use the quote tracking form to view the status of their quote request, but they will be required to log in before being able to accept/reject the quote.
